Simply put, trans isomers equal higher bioactivity. All-trans MK-7 is the key to activate vitamin K-dependent proteins. Cis isomers are less bioactive. Many vitamin K2 ingredients, because of inferior production methods or stability issues, use a mix of trans and cis isomers and consumers do not get the full health benefit.

MK-7 is the market standard for dietary supplementation.
